Tidal content not synchronizing in Roon [Fix in Latest Update 1544]

Wellllllll folks, how’s this coming along? I think we might be seeing a couple separate issues here, since some people seem to have their problem solved (playlist syncing), while others don’t (Tidal genres syncing). The latter thread was closed, and now it appears that issue isn’t getting any resolution. Can we get an update on this? I’d very much like to use Tidal again, but currently without any genre syncing, I can’t find new music without searching, which is really frustrating.

@noris As the Tidal genre new albums section still did not sync for all genres and the title says ‘fixed’, I am concerned that nothing more will happen. Are you aware of this problem and can we expect a fix for this issue?
It is half a year now that this bug is open.

@vadim @Benjamin Can we get an update on this, please? The issue is half-solved, but Tidal genres are still not syncing for many categories. Making it very challenging to enjoy using either Tidal or Roon.

New releases still not showing in Roon. No reason for me to even use Roon if Qobuz is the only thing I use it for.

I encountered the same issue, and my “New Albums” section has stuck on August 15th. There were no new albums showing since then.Qobuz works fine but not Tidal.

Any solution comes up yet?

It’s not solved half for me. Still no synchronisation…

i have had the same new releases issue from the middle of August it is the first week in October

Hi I still have the problem that the new Albums released on Tidal are not refreshing on Roon.
I have no new Albums showing since August 15th

What can I do?
I tried to logoff , even reinstalled Roon and the the DB, but nothing helps…

This is a Tidal issue and not only in roon. I see exact same thing in other apps.

Mine is exactly the same. Do you know if there’s a fix yet please>

I experienced the old issue today. Roon was not adding the songs to Tidal playlists. I added the same song via Tidal App and it worked there. I went back and the song was also available in Roon’s playlist. After this, Roon started to add the songs to the playlists again :man_shrugging:.

OSX Tahoe 26.1
Roon 2.56

Another most likely related issue: I deleted several Tidal playlists in Roon and they showed up again after a while. I deleted them in Tidal app and it worked for Tidal but not for Roon. Then I tried to delete these kind of ghost playlists but it got the same pattern: they dissapear for a while and then they came back —although they do not exist anymore in Tidal. I logged out from Tidal in Roon, without success.

A post was merged into an existing topic: No new albums appearing in Tidal tab since August 15th (ref#LX4R4C)[Ticket in]

Hello All,

I’ve just checked on my end, and it looks like the TIDAL new releases are including albums after August 15th, so the issue appears to be fixed. If you are still having issues in this area, please let us know by openeing a new support request. Thank you!

Hi @umami,

We’ve received your report that you’re still experiencing this issue. We’ve re-opened the tracking thread here. Can you please share a screenshot of your current Tidal new releases carousel in Roon?

Hi Connor,

Two screenshots attached for Dance and Electronic genres. All the other genres correctly show current new releases. Dance & Electronic are the only two that show outdated info. I’ve noticed that Tidal has combined these genres into a single genre in their own app, so I wonder if that’s a clue as to what is going wrong here.

Same suspicion here. No updates since tidal has grouped “dance” and “electronic” into “dance & electronic”. Probably needs update on Roon side to match categories.
