A brand new album in Tidal - Elwan with the Mali group Tinariwen was released today. In the Tidal app the whole album is there, however in Roon only three numbers are to be found, presented as if each of them is their own album. Topics similar was raised around a year ago, but this seems to be a bit different. It doesn’t show up when I mark it as “favourites”. In “New albums” all the other new in Roon Tidal are exactly the same as in the Tidal app, apart from this one.
This is obviously not a big thing with this single album, but just strange? It raises the question whether I need to follow the app to be sure to see news, and in this case I cannot even make it visible in Roon. Is Tidal deliberately excluding some material from showing up in Roon ( apart from the MQA albums that we all are aware of, but that can be shown when made favourites?)
Hi @Henry_Larsen. I suspect that TIDAL only gave us the metadata for this album today. Hopefully the album will be available in a few hours, if not tomorrow.
The single-track “albums” you are seeing are, in fact, singles with the same cover.
@Henry_Larsen This album is now available in the UK (it wasn’t before). Perhaps you could check again?

Completely tangential, but thanks for mentioning this. Listening to it now and thoroughly enjoying it. (For all the wrong reasons) the recording quality is way better than what one normally finds on African jazz/rock/pop albums.
I agree - and now it is to be found also in my Tidal among new albums. Thank you Joel for the response - I will be more patient in the future with Tidal on Roon
