Roon support. Is there an update on this. Still not working
Still not working, and my support ticket is now closed, this is unaceptable.
I’m a paying customer, fix this issue ASAP
Hi @Kerry_Davies and all,
We have a ticket in with our development team for further investigation into this. It’s very possible that this is another area where Tidal isn’t properly supplying the updated metadata, but we acknowledge it could also be something on our end as well.
Our team is investigating further, and we should have some more information to share once additional analysis takes place.
We very much appreciate your ongoing patience here! ![]()
@benjamin Appreciate the update.
This is a concern for us music lovers if we can’t browse new music.
I’m sure you’re working hard behind the scenes to try and fix.
We pay a premium for Roon and obviously this is a major flaw at the moment when Tidal is the streaming platform I and others use.
Hoping you will find out the root cause and have a fix soon.
Any further updates will be very much appreciated
Thank you
Kerry
I obviously don’t know what others are experiencing, but some metadata on new releases are still coming into Roon, as reflected on my main page (see image below). I don’t know if these are coming in from Tidal or another source, but net is that I can stream them on Roon, which must be pulling from Tidal, even though they are not reflected on the Tidal-on-Roon “New Albums” page I screenshotted above.
Also, Tidal playlists are also being updated (see second screenshot).
Hi @benjamin
Does the ticket include the update of the sections below the New Albums and New Tracks?
I’m talking about these “Master Quality Authenticated” ones, the first one dates to 28 July 2023:
Yes - we’re reviewing all aspects of where Tidal syncs with Roon. Thank you! ![]()
Slightly different issue today.
Taking a long time to load tracks and then skips some…sometimes. While waiting on the ‘taskbar’ you’ll see the image move back and forth as if it’s trying to load but can’t.
Really beginning to think that using an iMac as the Roon ‘core’ is just too unstable…
@Riccardo_Sicheri given that Tidal announced 2 years ago that it was dropping support for MQA, I doubt you’ll see any updates to that page. ![]()
Yes exactly, the whole section(s) should be changed, either with the HiRes section you now have in Tidal or with new ones.
I really like the “Cratediggers” section in Tidal, it contains a lot of thoughtfully and originally curated playlists (you find it going into genres → legacy → scroll down to “Cratediggers”); obv it doesn’t fit in the What’s New page. But this section is nowhere to be found in the Roon Tidal page, not even when selecting the Roon Tidal genre “Retro” (which is the outdated equivalent of the now called “Legacy” genre in Tidal)
I am having the same issue (Mac OS). I have logged out and logged back in. Still no updates since August 15th. Please advise.
I simply responded to your question. Your requested changes to the application to add new features may have merit, but are beyond the scope of this trouble ticket.
A month with no new realeses, a month. what’s happening?
At least we are entitled to a proper answer
Hi @vadim,
I’m having the same issue as @Mike_Calodoucas. No new albums are showing up since August 15.
The release frequency has been approximately one monthly release (except emergency updates that ideally wouldn’t have been necessary in the first place) for ages:
(And even then some people complain that it’s too often, so damned if you do, damned if you don’t)
No New Releases in Tidal in Roon in a month, This is not a software disscusion.
It’s a Tidal problem discussion
Oh ok. I read that incorrectly. (I just had read another thread where someone wrote about no new Roon releases in a month, so please forgive
)
Last week’s problem was addressed, and new releases from Tidal are appearing on my home Roon page (“New releases for you,” image below). They’re also available when I search for one, specifically. Tidal playlists of new releases are also current,.
The only problem I”m now seeing is with that one cited page. It may signal broader data sync issues, or maybe not. I didn’t consult it much anyway, since it was mostly redundant with the Roon home page new releases.
Last week’s problem has not been fixed. “New releases for you” only shows a fraction of the actual new releases and is probably tailored to individual users.
The problem(s) with Tidal are obviously more profound than expected, as there is still no solution.
