Tidal loading slowly, playback stops/Jumps

Core Machine (Operating system/System info/Roon build number)

mac OS Big Sur 11.2. Roon 1.7 (build 710). Streaming from Tidal (most current build).

Network Details (Including networking gear model/manufacturer and if on WiFi/Ethernet)

Roon core loaded on iMac. Modem/Router provided by ISP. Connection via ethernet.

Audio Devices (Specify what device you’re using and its connection type - USB/HDMI/etc.)

Auralic Vega G2. Wired ethernet.

Description Of Issue

Hi,

Over the last 3 weeks i am getting the “tidal loading slowly” error message. Typically playback will stop and sometimes will jump to the next song.

Tidal/Auralic/Mac and Roon are all the most current builds. Have shut down the Mac and Auralic. Have tried shutting down the Router/modem also.

any help would be appreciated (looking forward to the new Roon BTW - Looks like it will be awesome).

Does local content play okay to the Vega?

If you play to System Output instead of the Vega is there any change?

Appreciate theres a bit going on at the moment…
Local content plays ok to vega. Same with system output. Only seems to be an issue using Roon. Sometimes a track will stop, stop and re-start or stock and skip.

Any help would be appreciated

How do you have your DNS servers configured, are you using Cloudflare DNS, Quad9 or Google DNS?

i think i understand the question…DNS info for ethernet provided automatically by my ISP - not using any of the other options you list.

If this does not help, can you please reproduce the issue, note the time + date of occurrence and then send us a set of Roon logs by using these instructions?

Will give it a crack Noris. Things have been pretty stable for the last few days
