Hello @bcivera !
We can see that your machine can normally connect to Tidal, but some instabilities of this service were also reported.
We’d recommend you to adjust your DNS to best providers. It should be either Google (8.8.8.8) or Cloudflare (1.1.1.1).
let us know please whether this change helps you and also please clarify what exact kind of problem do you experience with Tidal ? If possible, please note the time stamp (exact time and date) of when do you experience this.
Looking forward to your reply!
Regards.
Hi @bcivera,
Reassigning the DNS service resolves the vast majority of user cases with this symptom - can you please verify whether switching to Cloudflare has improved reliability with Tidal?
Hi @bcivera
This thread will shortly auto-close without any further replies, so we want to ensure that you’re equipped for success from here.
To review the steps that most commonly resolve this symptom (either Tidal tracks won’t play in Roon or Tidal login errors within Roon):
Access your router settings administration page
Look for a section related to DNS
Ensure that reliable service is assigned as the DNS server. We usually recommend Cloudflare (1.1.1.1).
We also strongly recommend hardwiring your RoonServer machine via ethernet, not WiFi, if your physical environment permits. If you can provide the make/model of your primary router we can advise on the specific settings.
Otherwise, we’ll assume this issue was resolved behind the scenes, and happy listening. Thank you!
