Tidal playback doesn't work
Roon Core v2.0 (build1445) on Linux Debian Bookworm, Roon Remote v2.0 (build1445) on MacOS 14.6.1, Roon Bridge v1.7 (build 571). ISP router Orange Livebox 5 with internet connected on Fibre FTTH, LAN 6A cabling all connections run thorough a Netgear GS308 Gigabit switch.
To explain more.
I have been using Roon for years with my music library of 17000+ songs with no problems.
Yesterday I decided to try Tidal and signed up to a 3 month trial for 2 euro, therafter a monthly suscription applies.
This morining I added Tidal to Roon. Roon was also updated.
Initially Tidal tracks played but only for the first 30 seconds and then skipped to the next track. So I restarted Roon Core and Roon Remote.
But now Tidal tracks won’t play at all. After clicking the play button there is no sound or advancing of the track, and after a few seconds it displays the error “To many failures Stopping playback”. So I logged out of Tidal and restarted Roon Core + Remote, then log into Tidal again, it is the same though.
Playing music from the Roon music library works with no issues.
Problem solved.
I has logging into Tidal using my email as user name, but this email is also associated with an old user account, as well as the new user account created yesterday through my Apple account.
Deleting the old user account solved the issue.
