Just checking in on this. Were you able to send us the specific name of the Playlist, along with the track or tracks in it that are not updating with Playlist Improver? That detail will help us pinpoint what we are seeing in the logs. If you have that info, reply back here and we will take another look, thanks.
Thanks for confirming the playlist name, that let us pin this down in your logs.
Here’s what we’re seeing: each time Playlist Improver tries to save its Quality upgrades to Relax, Roon sends the upgraded track versions to Tidal, and Tidal is rejecting them with a “not found” response. That rejection cancels the whole save, so the improvements roll back and reappear the next time you look, which is exactly the behavior you’re describing. This points to the specific higher-quality track versions not being available in Tidal’s catalog for your region, rather than anything wrong with your account or your playlist (we can see your manual edits to Relax save without issue).
To help us confirm that, could you run a quick side test directly in the Tidal app (not Roon)?
Pick one of the tracks in Relax that Roon is offering to upgrade, then search Tidal directly for that same track in the higher quality version (e.g. the Hi-Res/Max version) and see whether you can find it and add it to a playlist yourself. If Tidal can’t surface or add that higher-quality version either, that tells us the issue is on the Tidal catalog side. If you can add it manually in Tidal but Roon still can’t, that’s very useful for us to know too.
Let us know how that goes and we’ll take the next step from there. Thanks!
We want to make sure we’re not missing something: in our last reply we asked you to search Tidal directly (not through Roon) for one of the tracks in Relax that Roon is offering to upgrade, and see whether you can find or add the higher-quality version there yourself. Were you able to try that specific search in the Tidal app, and if so, what happened? If a particular step didn’t make sense, please let us know which one.
Also, when you mentioned others with more expertise, did you mean other users on the forum who’ve reported something similar? If you can point us to a thread, we’re happy to take a look.
