· My Tidal playlists (Tidal mixes) don't get updated in Roon
Tell us about your home network
· I'm using Google Wifi mesh routers. There is a small Netgear switch connected to one of the mesh nodes that distributes wired Ethernet through the house for devices that need a wired connection. My Roon endpoint device is Holo Audio Red network transport connected to Ethernet outlet (it has no wifi module). Tidal streaming works fine but the playlists don't update
Can you please share a screenshot here along with the name of the playlists to which you’re referring? Just to confirm, are these playlists you’ve created within Roon, or content generated automatically/editorially by Tidal from the Roon → Tidal homepage?
Thank you for responding. I’m not longer affected by the problem as of today.
I think (more testing is needed on my end) the issue happened due to me selecting the “retry” option on “TIDAL login failed” popup.
Somehow this popup always comes up when I open Roon Android app on my phone and if I select the retry option instead of just waiting for it to go away I end up with non-synching Tidal playlists.
I think if I wait for the pop-up to disappear the issue doesn’t happen
Actually, I think I spoke too soon: the issue still persists. To be more specific the titles of Tidal playlists get updated in Roon, but not the contents.
See attached
First is a playlist in Tidal app and its contents, next is the same playlist in Roon and it’s displayed contents. If I try to play the playlist in Roon what gets played is the actual tracks that are present in Tidal app, but the display in Roon doesn’t show them.
The auto-generated playlists don’t display contents properly in both my Android app and Windows 11 Roon client. The issue seems to come from the Roon server itself
Thanks for letting us know. What is strange is that we are not seeing this behavior on our end. I wonder if a cache clear could help here, can you please try:
I wonder what the cache is needed for? After I deleted the cache folder contents (that were massive) I can see no loss of settings or albums or login details - everything is as it was before (but properly working), then what was all the cache for?
