Thanks for reaching out. Is there anything different regarding those TIDAL playlists that show vs the ones that are not showing? Are the one’s not showing created by TIDAL themselves (such as staff playlists)? Are you able to link a few of the problematic ones (via TIDAL listen.tidal.com sharing links) here so that we can try to reproduce this behavior on our end?
Out of the 7 visible, only one of them is created by another Tidal user, the rest of the 6 was created by me. The 4 Tidal playlists not visible are also created by other Tidal users who shared them with me and I have added them to my library. They used to be visible in Roon until 3 days ago. I tried creating a new playlist in Tidal, the new one is also not visible in Roon. It is not an issue with the number of playlists as my friend’s Roon has more than 50 visible in Roon. See picture.
Thanks for that clarification. Are the playlists by any chance visible under the TIDAL folder in your screenshot, or are they absent from there as well? If you go to Roon Settings → Services → TIDAL → Edit → Sync library, does that allow the playlists to appear? What if you try to reboot your Roon Server?
We’re having issues connecting to your Nucleus and therefore cannot enable diagnostics on the machine - can you please use the directions found here and send over a set of logs to our File Uploader? Once logs have been uploaded, please let us know so that we can check the server for your files, thanks!
In the meantime, it also may be helpful to test out using a different DNS server via your Nucleus, which you can edit via the webUI of the Nucleus.
Here’s a step-by-step on how to change the DNS settings on your Nucleus:
Open a web browser on a device connected to the same network as your Nucleus.
Enter the IP address of your Nucleus in the address bar.
If you don’t know the IP address:
Open the Roon app.
Go to Settings > Setup > Find Nucleus.
Note the IP address shown for the Nucleus.
Alternatively, use http://nucleus.local/ (on macOS or Windows with Bonjour installed).
Log into the Web Interface:
Once the web page loads, you’ll see the Nucleus web administration interface.
Change the DNS Settings:
Scroll down to the Networking section.
If the Nucleus is using DHCP:
Note that you cannot directly edit DNS settings under DHCP. You will need to switch to a static IP to specify custom DNS servers.
Switch to a Static IP:
Click on the Configure or Edit option under networking.
Enter the current network settings for your Nucleus (IP address, subnet mask, gateway) manually. These can often be found in your router’s settings or your current DHCP lease information.
Specify Custom DNS Servers:
Add DNS servers in the relevant fields. Common choices:
Google DNS: 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
Cloudflare DNS: 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1
OpenDNS: 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220
Save and Apply Changes:
Click Save or Apply to confirm your new settings.
Restart the Nucleus (make sure Roon Server is stopped) and let me know if you’re able to see all your playlists properly.
Reporting the same issue - Tidal playlists created by other users are not synced to Tidal, even if service integration is forcefully re-synced via Roon (“sync now”) or even removed and re-added. Playlists created by my users sync immediately. However, user-made playlists, even if they are basically clones, will sync normally.
To replicate:
Go to this or any other playlist and add it (heart sign) to your playlist.
It will appear in Tidal under “Playlists”, but will not appear in Roon, even if “sync now” is pressed under "Services.
If you take the same playlist in Tidal, click “More” and then “Add to playlist” → “create a new playlist” → any name, “create new” and then re-sync, it will immediately be visible in Roon.
All my previous Tidal playlists are sync’n only the last two I’ve added in the last week or so are not - not sure from which version this starting happening.
