Tidal Service continually "spinning"

Roon ROCK i3, Version 1.0 build 219. Roon Server v1.7 build 571

Roon ROCK connected to Unifi router & Unifi AP via ethernet; laptop via wifi.

Naim Uniti Star streamer, controller via MacBook Pro. Both connect to network via wifi

Description Of Issue

Too often - at least once a day - I can’t play a TIDAL track, and if I go to Settings / Services next to TIDAL is a spinning circle and “edit” in a box. The only way I can free up this is to click EDIT, sign out of TIDAL and then sign back in. All very frustrating, and not relaxing.

Any thoughts?

Can you please try clearing out the TIDAL Cache?

  • Stop Roon Server from running in the Web UI
  • Find and open your RoonServer database
  • Navigate to RoonServer/Cache
  • Move the contents of the /Cache folder elsewhere, like your desktop
  • Try restarting Roon Server via the WebUI and verify if the issue still occurs
