Describe the issue
Embedding of outside streamers, in my case Tidal, as of tonight, does not work anymore. Local library remains accessible. Tidal titles show as 'unavailable'. My Tidal account shows as 'logged in'. Latest SW update from you guys?
Thank you for reaching out. We attempted to pull diagnostic data from your Nucleus One but did not receive anything back, which may indicate a connectivity issue between your device and our servers — potentially related to the same problem affecting your Tidal access.
Could you please upload your logs manually using the directions found here and send them to our File Uploader? Once uploaded, please let us know and we will take a look.
Thanks for reaching out so quickly. Do not understand yet fully from where I have to pull, copy the roon logfiles: are they on my nucleus one or amongst the backups I made with your app on my Nas?
Add info: booted down the nucleus one yesterday after I found out that I couldn’t use it for playing. Could that be the reason your remote access didn’t work out?
Yes, the Nucleus needs to be online for log requests to deliver. Can you please bring it back online and let us know once it’s operational? We’ll check for the logging after. Additionally, as a test, can you please try to go to Roon Settings → Services and disable/reenable TIDAL and see if that helps with the issue?
Hey Noris, thanks for responding. Will boot up and leave the Nucleus One in about 30 minutes for the next 12h. That should give you guys enough time. I already tried to log out and in again, that didn’t resolve the problem. The flaw has not re-appeared during the last time, but do me the fav and check the logs. Cheers, Marcus
Thanks for the update, I was able to review a fresh Roon Server diganositc report, and found the following:
The failure was real, was Tidal-specific, and was confined to the evening of June 16, the exact night youreported it. The Nucleus’s Tidal OAuth token refresh came back 401, and three subsequent Tidal API calls failed with a very specific error:
GET to http://api.tidal.com
returned status 401, Unauthorized, with subStatus 1005 and the message “Missing auth parameter”
While that token was bad, browsing still worked because Roon served everything from cached feeds (“Using cached user feed”), which is exactly why you saw your library and Tidal browsing but tracks showed as unavailable and wouldn’t play, playback needs a live, authorized token that the cache can’t provide.
By June 17 the token was healthy and has stayed healthy since. This was a transient token issue on the authentication side, not a problem with your Nucleus or network.
