Tidal vs qobuz

Have been using Tidal for some time now. Trying Qobuz now too. Thinking of dropping tidal and going with Qobuz. Qobuz higher resolution works well on my system whereas tidal not so good. Just thinking about playlists that I have made using tidal. If I turn off tidal will the playlist items be found in Qobuz when I play the playlist or will I need to make another playlist in Qobuz. I suppose I’m asking how is the track in a playlist referenced. Is it by name or by an address of some kind.

Exactly what I did and I am very happy with it.

Would recommend to give it a try. Make a roon backup and deactivate Tidal temporarily while being logged in to Qobuz. Those titles which show up as unavailable in the playlists should be replaced by Qobuz matches when running the Playlist improver.

If a significant number of titles is still not recognized which do exist in Qobuz, a workaround might be needed like some playlist extractors.

The tracks in your playlist reference a specific instance of a track. I.e. in the local library or on a specific album on a specific streaming service.
However, a few release back, Roon introduced Playlist Improver. From what I understand, it should help in replacing missing tracks from one service with available tracks on another service.
