Titan or NAS

Good day dear Roon team and many good people who can read.

I use QNAP 472 XT that has Roon core
Than via Lan 1Gbit it goes to Hegel 390 , and then it goes to System Audio SA legend 60.2, and two REL S812 subwoofers

And i have lifetime Roon subscription.

So i do not find any information, what will be the difference if i buy Roon Nucleus Titan.
I want to buy it, so i will think, that my “system” is finished.

Can you please tell me, the quality of sound, or something will be changed in my life, if i buy Roon Nucleus Titan, or using QNAP + Roon core is enough.

Thank you

You will have a few thousand USD less.

The Titan is faster than your QNAP but this matters only if your QNAP is too slow. How many tracks do you have in the Roon library?

There is no sound difference nor does Roon Labs claim one.

Since you have your NAS already, it’s pretty easy to test, if all your use cases, esp. DSP settings, work properly on your NAS i.e. with sufficient performance.
In case it’s all fine you don’t need any additional hardware may it be the Titan or anything else :slightly_smiling_face:
And please be reminded, any roon server hardware will deliver the exact same audio quality.

Not explicitly, but is suggested in marketing speak

Ha, for the nucleus One they call it “Audiophile performance”. I love marketing

It’s a question of the size of your collection. Normally I would recommend Nucleus, but if your collection is excessively large, Nucleus might not be able to handle it.
