To Identify or Not to Identify

Been gone from Roon for over a year now and decided to come back to see if some metadata issues were solved. I want to love Roon, but the identifying process drives me nuts. I have perfectly tagged files on over 6000 albums. When I import then into Roon with all settings to “prefer local file tags”, I still get tons of composers and extra primary artists and all kinds of unwanted stuff. I realize this is Roon’s thing, but is there a switch or something that can be turned on to ignore all identification processes by Roon? I understand I can edit and tell Roon that “none of the matches look right” and it will resort back to my original files, but this is super time consuming since you can do only 1 album at a time. No bulk option. Any ideas? Any pointers? Any talk of a future “do not identify” option?

I get very frustrated by this also. It works somewhat to go into Edit and, under Metadata Preferences, set everything to “Prefer file”. However, I still find unwanted stuff or weird groupings.
