Description of Issue

It was playing fine, then quit. Now won’t play anything, Too Many Failures. Just paid for a year.

Is the core machine using Ethernet or Wi-Fi connection to the router? If Wi-Fi try Ethernet to see if that resolves the issue.

Welcome to the community.

The MyCloud is connected to the router by ethernet. It worked well all through the trial period and did a good job of consolidating the mess Apple made of my music (though not all of it). I was very happy until today when it suddenly failed
.

@Mike_LC question was about the roon server your Mac mini. How is it connected?

The Mac Mini is connected by ethernet

Are you getting a specific error message?

Too many failures, Stopping playback

Have you rebooted the network and the WD?

No, just the computer. Am rebooting the WD.

That may have helped the situation. Had to restart Roon on the Mini as well. Too many unmoving parts!

OK, you all were great. It seems to be working again.

I wasn’t sure about the mini, a windows pc I’d have put that as first on the list

Nice work @ged_hickman1, and glad you are back up @Rob_Swigart.
