No tool tips…

Roon must not believe in tool tips. I don’t recall ever seeing any dynamic popup tool tips anywhere in the entire app (unlike all other player apps – Qobuz, Tidal, Spotify, etc – which provide very useful tool tips to help the user). The tool tip I want most is to show the full album or track title when hovering the mouse over text that got truncated, so that I don’t have to open it to read the full title.
There are definitely some, e.g. when pointing at the signal path “light”, and I do see that one with EA B1310. Not sure which ones are expected to exist though
That isn’t a tooltip (Tooltip - Wikipedia), because it requires clicking on the “light”. It’s actually a perfect example of where a tooltip would be useful. If it had a tooltip, it would display something like “Show signal path” while the mouse pointer is merely hovering over it. Otherwise you wouldn’t know what it does, or even that it’s a clickable button.

The tooltip I want most is to display the full album or track title, which is often cut off from lack of space. Many streaming apps do this (Qobuz, Tidal, Spotify). Without a tooltip, there is often so little information in the truncated title that you need to open the album to see what’s on it.
Sorry but it is a tooltip and doesn’t require clicking. Hovering the mouse over the light shows a pop up tooltip that tells the current state of the signal path, in my case “Enhanced”. This is working for me on macOS with B1310.
Whether it’s strictly a tooltip in the literal sense, i.e. a tip for what the tool does, is debatable, but it works the same and looks like they traditionally did in the past, though the graphics rendering here looks a little outdated now

I stand corrected — I was going on memory and should have checked before posting. 
Tooltips is a simple way to improve the user experience and I wish Roon would give it more attention.

You might want to give this feature suggestion a bit of love and Vote for it - it’s feeling very lonely at the moment.
