Greetings, I love roon. I have a issue with arc working with pixel 6 and 7pro and topping g5 (usb mode). If I use bitperfect usb driver there is no sound at all. Disabling bitperfect driver (using android std driver) arc sounds. Using usbplayerpro G5 run in bitperfect mode as expected. I understand arc usbisin beta so I am here to signal an issue on this specific combo. If I can help you in understand the issue just write me. Cheers!!!

I am considering buying the Topping G5.
Has anyone managed to use bitperfect playback with ARC using this DAC?
Hello, I wrote the same question more than a year ago. Maybe someone know something now. I have many dacs and all works in bitperfect mode using ARC except the topping G5. If I enable the usb driver in ARC the player go, the interfae says “bitperfect” but there is no sound. If I disable the usb driver then the G5 sounds ok but in android “not perfect” mode. If I connect the G5 to the pc and use roon desktop the bitperfect mode works as intended. Any ideas ? Thank you

Bit-perfect playback via the USB Driver remains a beta feature. We’re releasing compatibility for USB DACs in batches; the blockages are not something we can remove in one fell swoop as fixes vary by device and manufacturer implementation.
We’re certainly sorry that the Topping G5’s bit-perfect compatibility with ARC on Pixel was not something we implemented during your ownership of the device. However, it’s our goal to eventually iron out issues for bit-perfect playback with all the major market USB DACs. I’m going to escalate internally to the Product team. Your experience should lend urgency to the work we’re doing. Thank you!

I got no sound when connecting my topping dx 3 pro plus to my android phone when using the usb beta version on arc.
If i unable the usb beta version, the sound is working fine.
How can I correct this bug to enjoy the native sound of my file whit the usb beta activated.
When i use my dragonfly cobalt, everything is working fine on the same phone whit usb beta on.

The Topping DAC has not yet been tested by the team for bit-perfect playback, but we have an open ticket. As mentioned, this is a beta feature and not every device will currently function with USB beta toggled on.
