This is a rip of a CD with 16 tracks. All track tags correspond to the credits on the CD. The issues begin with track 2. There are three different pieces included in track 2 of the CD. Roon thinks that each of those pieces is a separate track, and thus shows the title and composer of only track 2(1) for track 2, then shows the title and composer of track 2(2) for track 3, and the title and composer of 2(3) for track 4. All of the tracks after that are also misidentified, as a result. Here’s a screenshot of the Roon vs file data for track 3:
Roon gets its metadata from multiple commercial sources, especially AllMusic. Unfortunately, that release has incorrect metadata in AllMusic:
Not surprised. BIS is notoriously bad at providing good metadata to metadata databases, even their own digital downloads via eClassical often have incorrect ID3 tags.
You can try to edit the metadata in Roon directly, or instead you could use an external metadata editor (on a Mac, I use Mp3Tag or Metadatics) to enter/edit the correct metadata on your ripped track files.
Welcome to our Roon Community, it’s great to see you here! We appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Thanks to you as well @Fernando_Pereira for the assist.
We’ll take a look at this one closer and see what we can do. Please understand that we’re unable to make any promises regarding correction timelines when dealing with our metadata providers.
