Have a network cable from my modem to the Deco x50 main mesh router. Network cable to my Mac Mini M4 (Roon Server). Every time I start Roon, the track skips to next every 30 sec. Use a Eversolo dmp-a8 and a Wiim Pro Plus as a player. These players are connected through wifi.
Describe your network setup
Deco x50. 3 of them around the house. Modem is a zyxel ex5401-b1. As mentioned there is a hardwire network cable from modem to the main Deco. Networkcable to the Mac Mini m4 - Roon server.
The reason why I am asking is that I’ve read similar topics in the past. Often it turned out that the issue was with the streaming service. 30 second playtime and then off to the next track happens when you are on a trial account.
Hi. Yes I´am on trial period account on Roon and the issue is with my Tidal streaming service. Local music from my NAS is working ok.
So… I need to go with a Roon subscription to fix the problem ? I thought the trial was to check things out before going all in…
I believe it is more like Roon thinks you are on a trial with Tidal. It should work normally when you have a normal Tidal account and you are trialling Roon.
You could try to go into Roon’s streaming settings. Disconnect from Tidal, and then login again.

Roon does not support any form of trial streaming service, it has to be a paid subscription.
If it is a full paid for Tidal subscription then Roon is still not seeing that you have a correctly registered streaming service inside of Roon.
So please verify that your login credentials for Tidal inside of Roon are correct , email and password for the correct Tidal account etc.
30 second soundbites are exactly what Roon will play with a non registered streaming service.
The behavior you’re seeing — playback stopping after 30 seconds — is a limitation of TIDAL trial accounts. Roon requires a fully active (paid) TIDAL subscription to stream complete tracks.
This restriction comes from TIDAL, not from Roon, so once you upgrade your TIDAL account to a paid plan, playback should work normally.
