I love Roon Radio, and use it often. Currently toggling the heart icon to ban will stop that Album/Track from being played by Radio.
In my experience though, sometimes banning a track feels too severe — personally, I often find myself using ban for tracks on albums that I don’t want to hear, and usually don’t want to come back too (but don’t want to delete).
Often, I find myself banning tracks that I still adore, but have been rinsed. I still love the song, but just need a break for a while. This is fine, but kind of annoying when I want to go through and ‘unban’ later, sifting through the stuff which I actually want banned.
For your consideration:
The thought came to me the other day how nice it would be to have a ‘snooze’ option, or temporary ban state in between the favourite/ban options. One could snooze a track for say 6 months to give it a rest, after which it would automatically go back to being included in radio rotation.
I envision this could have a default timeframe option users could change in the settings, which would be automatically applied on toggle, and even a way to easily override that per track if needed when setting the snooze.
Forgive my poor analogy, but this would make it easier to delineate between songs that are put on the bottom shelf, vs in the attic.
