Track translation in Die Zauberflute not matching file tags (ref#UMHMD2)

What’s happening?

· My library isn’t working correctly (local/streaming, importing, or storage access)

Describe the issue

Can you explain why Roon has translated one of the tracks in Die Zauberflute to English (see attached)? I have searched everywhere for an answer and re-scanned the file, checked the tags in my editor, noted that track titles should come from file and not Roon but it persists - and it's only on one track. Any Ideas?

sorry uploaded wrong screenshot and can’t change it in editor. Here is the correct one…

Hello @F-J

Thank you for reaching Roon support.

It might be helpful to have the file(s) for testing on our end as well, can please upload them here and let us know?

Which files would you like? There is no English translation on the file tags or CD they were ripped from. Here is a screenshot from the album in my tag editor…

I have tried many times to change the metadata option to ‘prefer file’ but have just noticed it never sticks. Every time I go back into edit for the track or album it has cleared all choices. screenshot below shows a blank selection every time I go into it…

Hello @F-J

Thank you for the update.

Please share the ones where we’d be able to reproduce the issue on our side.

Actually, the changes are saved correctly, but the UI currently doesn’t reflect them properly. We already have an active ticket with our R&D team to improve this behavior.

In the meantime, you can go to the “Edit Track” tab to verify what settings are actually applied — this view should show your current metadata preferences accurately.
