Description of Issue

Everything was fine. Updated to latest version (2.0 (build 1254)) and tracks won’t play now. Press to play one and it skips through all the tracks in the album for a second but doesn’t play any. Says “Too many failures. Stopped playback.” after several failures.

What have you tried so far?
Reboot core?
Reboot network?
Can you still access the data on the Sonicorbiter? Can you access the sonicorbiter webUI?
Are remotes devices up to date? Running the same version of Roon?

Hi @Hugo_Sharp,

Thank you for your patience. The tech support team has pulled routine diagnostics to investigate the issue and noticed RAATServer connection failures frequently throughout recent logs from your Core. Additionally, the Rendu endpoint was refusing to connect with Roon regularly.

Are you still experiencing this issue? If so, please let us know the following:

  1. How is your Core connected to the internet (via WiFi or ethernet to the Netgear RAX80)?

  2. Do you have the most recent firmware on the affected endpoint (the Signature Rendu)?

  3. Do you have any additional network hardware in this setup, like managed switches or access points?

  4. Lastly, what happens if you refresh RAATServer by taking the following steps (be sure to create a reliable backup to preserve your Zone and DSP customization):

  • Create a Backup of your current Roon database
  • Exit out of Roon
  • Navigate to your Roon’s Database Location
  • Find the folder that says “RAATServer”
  • Rename the “RAATServer” folder to “RAATServer_old”
  • Restart the Roon App to generate a new RAATServer folder

Thank you!
