Tried raising this as a support item but the form won’t load.
I’ve recently re-ripped a few of my CD’s and noticed that playlists I’ve created in Roon that had some tracks from those CD’s are now showing the track(s) as unavailable. I have to manually add it again then remove the “missing” track from the playlist. Is there any way of getting Roon to, for want of a better phrase, re-identify the tracks from my source files? This is where they were when they were initially added.
Unless the path and filename is exactly the same as the originals then no it can’t. . Playlists have a path to source files contained in them so it that’s changed from your original rip then you will have to add them and remove the old ones.
Fair enough. Good to know. I’d hoped the same track, album and artist name would be enough but it seems not. Thanks for the clarification. I’ll know in future. Think the issue is I’ve changed my ripping software and the file naming is slightly different which would explain things based on your point.
