Have two Roon set ups. One at home, and the other at a place I travel to regularly and remain at for extended periods of time (the “away” system). How do I transfer the queue and history from an audio device at home that doesn’t appear in my away setup?
It’s not possible.
The only way I know of to do this is to create a playlist from your queue (click on the … at the top right of the queue screen). That can be exported and imported between systems. Not ideal but will get the job done.
Good question @Michael_Sparrow! I’ve been thinking about this as I travel with Roon on my MacBook between “home” locations.
I suppose that if I remember before I leave to transfer the queue and history to the MacBook speakers, I can access it and transfer it later to a device in my next location. If I remember…
Yet the absence of the ability to ‘prune and graft’ the history and queue of a disconnected device to another device seems like a missing feature that, for this Roon user, is more of a “need to have” than a “nice to have.”
It also seems like a housekeeping issue. Maybe there’s a way to do this but how does one clean out the old histories and queue for devices that are mothballed or long gone? There are hundreds, if not thousands of titles in some of my histories. Do they just stay there? Waiting for the device to reappear?
I write this with full awareness there is probably a Roon Community topic on this from years ago that I could not find.
I will post the feature request after hearing from other Roon users on how they’ve solved or worked around this issue.

I assume you have one license and activate/deactivate that license and have a server at each location
The data you need is in the Roon db .
How about using a NUC/Nucleus etc and take it with you when you go away that way the db will be common to both locations and just one set of data
