Longtime Roon user, have a nucleus server, use ipad and iphone as my endpoints/remote. Just bought a new laptop, ripped some new cd’s to it, installed the Roon App, but I cannot find the nucleus on my network to transfer the new music to it, it’s not showing up in Windows file explorer. Everything works fine on the Ipad. Also, when I launch the roon app on the laptop, it sees the nucleus just fine. Probably something simple I am forgetting to do…help?
Windows has a habit of not showing SMB network shares under “Network” in the File Explorer automatically, in particular if they are not Windows-based.
In the File Explorer, enter \\NUCLEUS\Data\Storage\InternalStorage into the address bar (not into the search box next to it) and press Enter. Then it should show up.
You can also map it to a drive letter, then it will always be listed under the drives in Windows Explorer:
