Trouble logging into Roon Desktop App on Windows (ref#NRGJ4W)

I am having trouble logging in on the Windows desktop app, I am also having trouble accessing the roon website, it is timing out and when it does load it takes a very long time. I don't know if there's an issue with my computer or Roon. I'm a first time user and I did log in just fine on my first attempt but after changing my library and having to re-log in it wont go any further than the log in page.

Wired network, 1gb/s internet.

I am currently trying to redownload the setup file and I can’t even load the page: https://download.roonlabs.net/builds/RoonInstaller64.exe it’s just timing out.

Where are you - that link is working fine for me in the Netherlands…

Hi Geoff, I’m in the UK.

I tried roons website on my partners PC and it works just fine but slow to no response on my own. I’ve been trying to get the app to work today and have logged in and out a few times before this issue, is there a possibility my connection is being throttled cos of the multiple attempts at logging in?

I doubt it very much - never heard of this happening. More likely to be a network issue. Let’s see what Technical Support can discover…

Thanks for taking the time to write in and share your report! We’re not immediately seeing any issues with your account or admin - could you please bring your Roon Server back online and we’ll enable diagnostic mode to take a closer look.

If you haven’t yet, I’d reboot both your Roon Server machine as well as your router and see if you experience the same lag. We’ll be monitoring for your reply, thank you! :raising_hands:

I recently started having trouble logging into several web sites with my Windows 11 laptop and AT&T U-Verse fiber internet. I changed the DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 and all has been good ever since.

Can report everything is working smoothly for a few days now which is great so it seems to have resolved itself.

Can’t believe I didn’t know roon existed until a week ago. Very happy now everything is working :slight_smile:
