I haven’t attempted either yet. But are you saying you can manually input frequency of plays and if so how please. And in order to find that data easily is it possible to list tracks in order of frequency, and ideally with the frequency itself also displayed. Thanks.
Hey @John_Carlyle,
This isn’t possible in Roon. Play counts are generated automatically from actual playback and there’s no field to edit or override them.
Sorting tracks by play count (with the count displayed)
This part you can do, and it’s built in:
- Go to your Tracks browser (not Albums or Artists).
- Click the cogwheel icon near the top, this is where Tracks and Compositions views hide their sort/column options (since the Tracks view doesn't show a Sort By dropdown like other browsers, but has more granular sorting via the cogwheel).
- Add Plays (the play count field) as a sort/display column.
- Once added, click the arrow next to it to sort ascending or descending, descending gives you your most-played tracks at the top, with the actual number of plays shown in that column.
