Description Of Issue

I’m trying to connect to my data drive, which I can do successfully as a guest, but that doesn’t help me create new folders/add files. I can’t recall setting up a username/password when setting up the ROCK. Any ideas where I could find that, or at least, reset it? thanks!

? Is the shared drive on the ROCK NUC or the Mac? If on the MAC, you use the username/password that you would use to login to the MAC.

It’s on the NUC.

NUC with USB hard drive that holds the library.

I can’t add new files to the drive. I assume it’s a permissions issue.

If the drive is formatted hfs+, mac, then yes linux cannot write to it.

Exfat woulda be a good format for external drive.

That could be the problem. Thanks!
