I created a shared folder on my Windows PC but I’m getting the message in Roon “Unable to create backup directory”
What am I doing wrong?
- What ver of Windows?
- What is your RoonServer? Different PC? same PC? something else?
- If it is a different PC, or a ROCK NUC or Nucleus, when you try and create the share you have to give a login name and password which have rights to access that share. Keep in mind Microsoft account logins do not work for this, so, if that is what you are using you need to create a local account (no spaces in name), give it a password (again no spaces, and then give that local account permission to access the share.
Thanks, I’ll check it out tomorrow
I’m using Windows 10, I’m using a Nucleus One. I have been using Dropbox for my backups. I want to use one of my Windows 10 computers or the Nucleus One, which I have a 1TB drive installed, instead for backups.
I have never configured Sharing in a any computer before.
Backup your Nucleus to an attached USB drive. Use the internal drive for music storage.
