Trying to make sense of smart lists that sometime go blank and sometimes work

Hi All!

I’m trying to grapple with what I’m doing wrong here but I cannot find any solution

I have two smart lists based on rating tags that I tag in my music tag editor and is represented as 3, 4 or 5 star tags. You can clearly see the tags being picked up by Roon.

I try to create a smart list, for example, random 345, which includes anything tagged with 345. And it seems to work. But every few days, it goes completely blank and it can’t find any tags. And then in the next day or two, it comes back with all the tags. I took off any other filtering criteria such as time-based and last played and so on. But it still can’t find anything.

What am I doing wrong here? Thanks so much

Sounds like a possible bug to me, you are not the first who’s experiencing strange smart playlist behavior, e.g., The not so smart Smartplaylist
