Hello, I suggested an improvement to Roon so we could get to change the Recommended albums on the Genre page: by most read, by last added, random.
In the meantime I’m trying to figure out what is the algorithm at play here that would explain why I’m stuck with the same recommended albums. Literally for years now. These albums have been sitting here for ages, despite me adding hundreds of new additions. This is true for every genre.
Stuck in time. I’m beginning to think I’m going to die with that Moby album right there on that screen.
Somebody figured it out? Someone at Roon knows why and how?
Thank you Arlen. That’s an interesting take. I’ve looked and I do have a FLAC version for all of them but Chet Faker’s Built On Glass (the first one) so that’s not it.
Do you share the same experience? Is it ever moving, evolving, changing or is it still a ptoho of the first time you installed Roon?
I never look at the genre screens, but your post made me curious. All albums that came up for me in the suggestion lists for every single genre, were album of which I have my own copies.
Roon plays about 16 hours a day here. Genre is an important entry point in the home here because each morning, each meal, each episode of life in the day begin with the following question: what are we up to? Feeling for jazz, yoga, rock, ambient electronica…? Then the choice of album come second.
