Description of Issue

I’ve been using the Apple TV4 app “TV:Remote” mostly as a queue display when listening to music. But I have to keep re-authorizing the extension every week or so.

But there’s a history of authorizations for it already, as seen in the screenshot:

Is there some reason the extension keeps needing to expressly keep reauthorizing? Or is this probably a bug in that extension?
Thanks.

Hey Alan! I moved your post over to #tinkering:roonapi@R_102 (the creator of this extension) might have some ideas.

Hi @Alan_Sparks

Looks like the ATV/TV:Remote app is failing to store the Roon Core details.

There was a similar issue reported over in this thread Apple TV Extension - Roon TV Remote - #570 by MortalWombatUK

A re-install of the TV:Remote app fixed the issue. Are you able to try the same?

Thanks.
Russell

thanks for the reply. I’ve reinstalled the extension, will follow up in a few days with status.

So I just checked again… and the extension is prompting again for me to enable it in the Core. Nothing changed anywhere except a few days passed.

What can I do? Reinstall didn’t change the game.
