My U2 Mini has suddenly started locking up every night. The first time in the day that I try to play something via Roon, the U2 Mini doesn’t send a bitstream to the DAC and it also jams up Roon. The only thing on the display is the time circle with zero time shown. To get things playing I have to power cycle the U2 Mini and restart the Roon server software - after this it plays fine for the rest of the day.
If I start the day by power cycling the U2 Mini before attempting playback, everything is fine and it works for the rest of the day.
I have tried setting the sleep setting to Never, but that didn’t help. The firmware is 22.0. Appreciate any advice and help. Thank you.
Please power Lumin off. Remove all USB connections. Use a pin to insert into the reset hole at the back. Press and hold it while powering on the unit. Keep holding for no less than 15 seconds until you see some small text on the front panel.
Power cycle your whole network starting from the router, WiFi mesh, access points, network switch, Roon Server, Lumin, phones and tablets.
After power up, use Lumin app to disable AirPlay, Tidal Connect, Qobuz Connect, and Spotify Connect.
Use coax instead of USB output to DAC.
If you are using a third party LPS, please restore it to the factory SMPS.
If it still locks up, please contact your distributor for repair. Sorry for the trouble.
Peter, I followed your reset instructions and unfortunately it did not help the problem. I have tried to contact the distributor, Source Systems LTD in San Clemente California, but they have not responded to both e-mail and phone call. Do you have any other suggestions for how I can get in touch with Lumin repair department? Thank you.
