I recently transitioned to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8, which finally allowed me to retire my iPad, device I had been keeping and using exclusively as a dedicated Roon remote. Having Roon on a foldable screen is the ideal setup for me, but unfortunately, the current experience with Roon Remote is plagued by severe graphical issues and glitches.
There are overlapping or misplaced elements across the Now Playing screen, library browser, and album art grids.
Playback progress bar out of sync. The track scrub/progress bar does not align with the actual audio playback. The elapsed time either lags behind, freezes, or jumps erratically while the song continues playing normally.
Interesting because I am not having these issues. I must have changed a setting that solved this.
If you go to display>aspect ratio, scroll to Roon and enable full screen does it fix it? There may be another setting that I changed too. Can you view in both landscape and portrait?
Please excuse my delayed response in providing an update on this matter.
In the meantime, my device received a Samsung system update, and I have noticed that the visual layout issue appears to be resolved. This is an excellent outcome, making this device a highly capable substitute for a dual phone/tablet combination.
That being said, the problem regarding the progress bar going out of sync is still present on occasion.
