Describe the issue

Following the instructions on solving "Roon OS Missing Codecs" issues. However, when I was trying to connect \\rock\Data, it will prompt error during login, showing " you cann't access this shared folder because your organization's security...". I've tried every method including adding guest account, modifying regedit value in windows and use a U flash disk, either will work.

So how to solve this problem? Thanks!

Describe your network setup

Silent Angel N8 switch, Xiaomi BE6500 Pro router

Microsoft has recently tightened security in Windows 11. Please see the “Troubleshooting Connection Issues (Windows)” section in this article:

Hi, I had the same problem and the best solution for me was to edit the registry to allow insecure guest access.

‘regedit’
then in the location below add a new Dword, ‘AllowInsecureGuestAuth’, 32 bit, value=1
LocalMachine\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Lanworkstation\Parameters

I hope this helps.
