Did you reboot everything? From SonicTransporter to router and pc?

Do you have a phone or tablet on which you have installed Roon Remote? Do these connect to the server?

What happens when you goto sonicorbiter.com? This should show you the Sonicorbiter devices on your network.

Is every device on the same network? Are the first three parts of all IP addresses the same, like in 192.168.0.xxx and 192.168.0.yyy?

Hi Arlen:

Yes, I rebooted everything.

Yes, I have both an iphone and a tablet and neither can connect to the Roon server.

Devices are there and on the same network.

How do make certain that the Roon server is accepting remote connections?

Thanks,

Doug Shaller

Just to be absolutely sure that your tablet and Roon Server are on the same network, could you goto sonicorbiter.com with a browser on your tablet on which you also have installed Roon Remote?

Second, if you do see your SonicTransporter there, click on it. A new window should open which looks like this, under the tab for apps:

Then, after tapping on the button for Roon Server, you should see this:

What happens when you tap the restart button?

I used the laptop to as suggested to goto sonictransporter.com. I restarted the Roon Server and got a message that it restarted. Then I tried running the Roon app form the laptop. I got the message: "Waiting for your Roon Server… but it did not connnect.

The only thing that I can think of is that it might be a firewall issue. Can you log into your router’s settings and see if Roon is being blocked there?

Hi @doug1,
Thank you for your patience while we worked through the queue. Are you still having issues with accessing Roon? If you are as @Arlen suggested the most likely cause is firewall issues. Roon, RoonAppliance, and RoonServer need to be allowed through.
