Describe the issue

I have a lifetime Roon membership.

I control Roon from my PC and use the player to manage my music content (and a Tidal subscription) on my Antipodes S30 server.

The Roon player is also installed on my iPhone 14 and iPad. The iPad is working fine.

I am not able to "see" the Roon servicer from my iPhone. This also applies to Roon Arc installed on my iPhone. This is what I have done so far:

1 - Uninstalled Roon and Arc on my iPhone
2 - Reinstalled Roon and Arc on my iPhone
3 - Restarted my Antipodes S30 server

I am still not able to access Roon ar Arc on my iPhone. Please note this is a recent problem as I have been able to access both services (roon and Arc) on my ipHone in the past.

What's going on??

Hi @Marc_Brillon,
Thanks for reaching out to ask us about this issue. In the title of your post you mentioned recent problems preceding this issue with your iPhone. Can you elaborate on these issue? Did the iPhone have any updates around when the problems started? I noticed our servers haven’t seen your iPhone in 5 days is that around when the problem started?

Hi Daniel and thanks. I do not recall saying I had prior issues with the iPhone. I just do not understand why Roon Player will not launch on the iPhone (I get a Server not found message) but I can launch the player on my PC or on my tablet - so I know Roon is working in my environment. I shared all the troubleshooting steps I initiated in my initial post.

I do not “normally” use the Roon Player on my iPhone but on the day that I wanted to, I was not able to get it working. If you have any insights on this, I would welcome your views.

Thanks, Marc

Hi @Marc_Brillon ,

Can you please verify under iOS Settings → Roon, if you have Local Network Access turned on?

Hi Noris - confirming this setting is on (no change here).

ALSO confirming that I can now see the Roon server from my iPhone. I am no longer getting a “server not found” error message.

As best I can tell, no changes have been made to my phone or my internal IT environment. Any idea what might have caused the bug I described in my initial note to you last week?

Thanks, Marc

Hi @Marc_Brillon,

I’m glad to hear things are functioning properly!

We’re not seeing any reports dating back to last week, but based on your description, the issue was likely due to a network blockage between your server and remote device.
