Please see the above response. Roon handles artwork ingestion and music file import separately. The above links will point you in the right direction, depending on your specific need.

Thanks for the information but when I’m adding artwork via this method Roon used to list my music folder (as well as my Laptop location like now) in the Roon add image location list to add artwork from.
Its not listed now and I have to go to my artwork via my windows laptop from Roon’s music folder, copy the artwork to my windows laptop desktop & then I can add it from there ONLY.
It seems a long process which I used to be able to do in two or three clicks going to straight to my music folder from the add image location.
When you click on Browse for file, the folder list that opens is on the local machine, not your Roon server. If you have recently changed the server, this may explain the different behaviour.
Nonetheless, you should be able to access the network drive from the PC running the Roon desktop GUI, so long as it is mounted. To achieve this, follow the instructions posted earlier.
Here’s a Windows 10 screenshot showing a mapped network drive.
I’ve added this drive from Roon’s storage - add folder - add network share page. Thanks.
Obviously its now adding the music folders & files & duplicating my music library.
Is there a way just to access the new network share folders/files and not add all the music again to my library?
Thanks again.
This is the wrong way to do things, since the music is already on the server. Adding a share (of itself) will duplicate everything. Therefore, undo these changes.
You need to do the following on your Windows PC.
Mount the music folder on the Innuos as a network share. The instructions we posted earlier. Please use these.
Open Roon (on Windows) and when selecting Browse for image… you will see the network location for your music below [C:] Sutra. Click on the new location, and you can browse your music folders.
