Are you subscribed to a streaming service (e.g. Tidal or Qobuz) and are you logged into to it in Roon? This is required in order to access Valence recommendations. In the Valence Help article:

Connect TIDAL or Qobuz to your Roon account to reveal your own personal gateway to a new world of high-resolution streamed music, making new discoveries endless.

Hi Geoff, Thanks for your reply. I’m logged into Tidal and Qobuz. The Valence page tells me of all the connections etc., but doesn’t direct me to where I can get those recommendations. Is it that when I select an album, in the section below, there is a “recommended for you” section that is now powered by Valence? Cheers Michael

Hi Michael, yes, that is one of the areas where Valence shows its intelligence. There is also the ‘New releases for you section’ on the home page. And there is Roon Radio, that should wander through tracks based on what you were playing.
Within Roon Remote, which you might be using to play your music on your tablet or phone, the term ‘Valence’ is not used anywhere, but it is the technique behind all sorts of recommendations you see while browsing.
