Describe the issue
It's far to difficult for me. I am a simple guy and love listening music. Not the nerdy type. Spotify picked it up. Via Roon and my Aavik streamer. The high end as promised is not working as it should be. To complex in fixing the problems. Maybe I am the problem.
Troubleshooting can be exhausting and we empathize with your frustration. We can probably resolve this with a few simple steps from here.
What is the particular file format you’re attempting to play within Roon? Are these tracks stored in your local library, or are they available from streaming services (Tidal/Qobuz, etc.)?
Can you please share a few screenshots of the following pages within Roon?
First, a screenshot of your Device Setup for the Aavik streamer Zone in Settings → Audio. Click on the gear icon to access the Device Setup dialog page.
Second, a screenshot of your Signal Path within Roon.
Just checking in on this. Were you able to confirm which file format you are trying to play and whether those tracks are coming from your local library or from a service like Tidal or Qobuz? If you can also send the Device Setup screenshot for the Aavik streamer Zone and a screenshot of the Signal Path, we should have a much clearer picture of what is happening. Thanks, and let us know what you find.
Thank you for the additional details - you are not stupid at all, Roon can be confusing at first!
To help you, we just need one thing: on your Windows PC, open Roon and look at the bottom of the screen where music is playing. You should see a small colored dot (purple, green, or yellow) next to the track information. Can you tell us what color that dot is?
That one detail will tell us everything we need to know about your sound quality settings. In the meantime, you may find this helpful reading:
