Unable to Add Internal SSD Directory in Roon App on Nucleus One (ref#JB6HUJ)

What’s happening?

· My library isn’t working correctly (local/streaming, importing, or storage access)

Describe the issue

Although my Internal SSD is connected and shows up in settings of the nucleus one, when I try to add the internal SSD in the Roon App, local directory isn’t showing.

Describe your network setup

Sky broadband Router with Wi-Fi turned off, eero 6 Pro Connected by ethernet to English electrical Ethernet hub, connected by ethernet to nucleus one

Can you please post a screenshot of Roon’s :gear: > Storage page? Your first screenshot shows it overlaid with the “Choose music storage folder” screen. It looks as though the Nucleus One Internal Storage is showing as a Watched Folder, but there is some red text showing that indicates that there is an error message being displayed.

That’s correct,
The default route is disabled, because I’m restoring from a backup that was on an external ssd connected to a sonictransporter.
I’ve restored from backups plenty of times I know what I’m supposed to do normally. Once the backup is restored edit the previous storage location to the new one.
If I just enable the default route (the top one with disabled in red underneath) it will import the music as new and I will lose all my history.
But the problem is, When I try to edit the backed up location, when tapping browse the local directory isn’t listed, even though I can see it on a Mac mini and in the web settings.
Anyway here is the photo you asked for
Thanks for your help by the way

Please enable the internal storage using the respective option from the menu (the thre dots on the right side).

If I do that, it will render my back up pointless, I’m trying to restore from a backup. if I enable the top one, it will import all my music as a new installation and when I look at my music, they’re all unavailable.

I don’t see what you try to achieve here, how it is supposed to help with your backup. Please elaborate. See also:

Ok mr. Blackjack, you have just saved my life. I’ve always restored backups by editing the previous folder, but in the link you sent me if you remove your previous location the nucleus will just find them again itself, brilliant thank you. I’m well happy now and not gonna question it anymore.
Thanks for your help blackjack mate.

We can see that your problem is partially solved, but could you please clarify for us what are you trying to achieve and how do you see the result of troubleshooting ?

Looking forward to your reply!

Hi Alex, sorry for the late reply.
Yes, problem solved. I wasn’t used to restoring a backup that way, but it worked. it is very simple in the end, brilliant programming.
So anyway, it’s all sorted, thank you.
