Thank you for reaching out. Since this error usually happens during the “handshake” between your web browser and Roon, we need to clarify exactly what you see during the process.
Please walk me through these steps:
The Browser Window: When you click "Login" to Tidal in Roon, does your default browser actually open the Tidal login page?
Success Message: After you enter your username and password on the Tidal website, does the page say "Success" or "You are now logged in"?
The Redirect: At that point, do you see a pop-up in your browser asking for permission to "Open Roon" or "Return to Roon"?
The Link Workaround: Try this:
Click login in Roon.
When the browser opens, copy the URL from the address bar.
Open a different browser (e.g., if you use Safari, try Chrome) and paste the link there.
Complete the login and see if it successfully redirects you back to the Roon app.
Please let us know at which point it breaks—does the browser window not open at all, or does Roon just fail to "hear" back from the browser after you log in?
Hello. Did not work - roon attempted login for a long time( 5 minutes) - then said We could not verify your account in time. The setup worked for years and never had any issues with it. Macbook pro 2022 not used for anything else just to run Roon. Tidal works on the device without problems / logging in with different browsers always successful - roon opens back and that’s that. Help.
Open Roon again and navigate to Settings → Services to attempt the login once more.
If that doesn’t help, please try changing the DNS server in your router settings admin page to a known, reliable service. We recommend Quad9 (9.9.9.9).
