After many years of trouble-free working I am unable to connect to my Nucleus. Roon Server Software not running is the error shown when accessing the Nucleus via web browser. Numerous attempts to reboot but not fixed.
Describe your network setup
DrayTek Vigor 2862n router. Nucleus connected via Ethernet cable to TP-Link Gigabit Switch. No network problems with any other devices in home network.
What happens if you click ‘Start’ in the screen shot below?
Have you tried the ‘Reinstall’ option?
If neither of the above help and you have a known good recent update (maybe test it first on a temporary Roon Server running on a Windows or Mac computer if you have one available), you could try the ‘Reset’ button to reset the Roon Database and then try starting the Roon Server software again. This should allow you to connect with a client and either log on with a clean database or restore from the backup.
I do have a Mac laptop and monthly backup files but what you suggest is at the outer limits of my technical knowledge. I need a step-by-guide to resolution from Roon Support as I’m not technically competent to try workarounds. Thanks anyway.
The next step would be to click the Reinstall button on the Web Administration interface. That will reinstall both the operating system and the Roon Server software (but will preserve your database and Roon settings).
Let us know if this works or not. If not, then the support team will take things further.
