Hi @Jean-Luc_PORRACCHIA ,

Thanks for writing in and welcome to the Roon Community! We’re excited to have you here.

Your issue is likely tied to some of the updates within Sequoia, can you please navigate to macOS System Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network, and make sure Roon is allowed. If it is already enabled, toggle it off and on again. Then reboot your Mac, and see if the same issue persists.

I’d also double-check your Mac firewall to ensure Roon is listed as proper exceptions - here’s more info:

Let me know if any of the above help!

Hi Benjamin,

I installed Sequoia after Roon started malfunctioning, hoping to resolve the issue with an update. I disabled and re-enabled Roon’s permissions in the security settings. I turned off the firewall and restarted my Mac. Nothing has changed in Roon. In any case, Roon.app and roon.Appliance.app (twice) and RAATserver had permissions for incoming connections in the firewall.

Hey @Jean-Luc_PORRACCHIA,

Thanks for the update!

Unfortunately, there are known issues that have popped up with the recent macOS update. How is your Mac currently connected to your router? Can you set up a direct, ethernet connection as a next step?

It may also be worth exploring different DNS settings on the Mac as well, as we’ve seen success specifically with Qobuz and library-related issues in the past. Here’s a step-by-step:

  1. Click the Apple menu and select System Settings
  2. Select Network in the sidebar
  3. Click the network service you are connected to
  4. Click Details
  5. Click DNS
  6. Click the + button in the DNS Servers section

Common option to test are Cloudflare DNS, Quad9 or Google DNS. Can you please give this a try and let me know if it helps?
