Thanks so much for writing in! Based on your description, it looks like Windows is blocking access to the Nucleus/ROCK internal storage due to its security settings regarding “Guest” access.
This is a common behavior in recent Windows updates (10/11), where the system automatically blocks network shares that don’t require a password. Since Nucleus is designed to be accessible without a password for convenience, Windows essentially puts up a barrier.
We have a step-by-step guide on how to adjust this setting in Windows so you can copy your music files:
Please give those steps a try and let me know if you are able to connect afterwards!
Diagnostics show an active network share is now associated with your RoonServer. Are we correct to assume that you’ve resolved your issue by enabling guest fallback in Windows 11 per the steps above?
We’ll tentatively mark this thread as resolved, by it will remain open for a few days in case you require additional troubleshooting or assistance.
Problem is solved. But not completely on the way you suggeded. In windows 11 pro it didn’t work. Luckely I have win11 home on my laptop and solved the problem. So I can enjoy Roon again.
