Describe the issue

What is the username and password to connect to ROCK via SAMBA on Windows 11? When I try to connect to the "data" folder of the ROCK, my machine requests log-in credentials. No combination of username and password I have tried (including "guest" / "guest") works.

Describe your network setup

ISP --> Motorola MB8611 --> Firewalla Gold --> Trendnet 2.5gbe 8-port switch --> ROCK

This is a known issue caused by Microsoft tightening security. You are correct that the username and password is guest and guest, but you have to tell Windows that it’s OK to connect to your ROCK system as well.

Read this article on how to solve it. Start at step 6 if you have Windows 11 Pro, or step 8 if you have Windows 11 Home.
