For Roon connectivity to work properly, both Roon Server and Roon Remote need to be turned on.
· I can't turn on Roon Server, I need help.
Describe the issue
Roon was working fine. later in the day i noticed that one zone was not available. I restarted my windows 10 PC and now it cannot connect to Roon The ROON software is running on my PC I checked firewall exceptions and they are all OK. I cannot get into Roon to confirm it is on the same network as my PC but it all are connected via Ethernet so should be OK
Diagnostics indicate that while Roon is awake on this PC, the RoonServer instance hasn’t pinged our servers since yesterday.
Have you verified that RoonServer restarted when the PC booted back up? If RoonServer itself won’t start, then please open a file viewer on the affected PC to use the directions found here and send over a set of logs to our File Uploader.
Thanks for sending those over! As a next step, do you have a recently saved backup?
If so, let’s refresh your Roon Server database and see if you experience the same issue? Steps to follow below (don’t perform them if you don’t have a backup saved)
Let’s try a fresh database and see if your issues persist:
This is crazy but about one hour ago it started working again. I didn’t do anything at this end. I thought perhaps you something at the Roon end. But it is working
