Describe the issue

I cannot connect to Roon nucleus

Describe your network setup

Arris surfboard, Google mesh, ethernet connection to nucleus

Hello @Richard_Kraus ,

Thanks for reaching out. Can you please confirm, is this Nucleus a new addition to your setup, or has the Nucleus previously been working and this is a recent issue? Did other Roon Servers work properly on your network prior to the Nucleus? Where exactly is the Nucleus connected via Ethernet, is it to the Google mesh or to the Arris surfboard?

I enabled diagnostics for your account and looking over the diagnostics, I am not seeing a proper IP address for any of your devices. Are you making use of IPv6 on this network? If so, can you please try to temporarily turn off IPv6 and let us knof if this helps?

Thanks for the prompt response. I have had the nucleus for a year, working without problems. Previously I ran my Roon server from a pc, also without problem. The ethernet connection is to Google mesh. That has never seemed ideal, but it has worked fine until now. I am using IPv4.

Hello @Richard_Kraus

Thank you for the update.

Are you able to see the Nucleus WEB UI page according to this article ?

Would you kindly connect your Nucleus to the TV or Monitor using the HDMI cable and post a photo of what you see here?

FYI, my nucleus is now working again. I did nothing but insert (then remove) an HDMI cable. I do wish I understood what happened.
