What happens if you press the "Select a different Roon Server" button?
· I don't see Roon Server.
Please try to restart your network setup by unplugging, waiting 30 seconds and then replugging in your networking gear.
· No, the issue remains the same
Please select how you've connected your Roon Server to the internet
· Roon Server is connected by *Ethernet*
Have you checked your firewall settings to ensure that Roon is allowed through?
· Roon still won't connect even after checking this aspect
Have you verified that Roon Server is on the same subnet as your Remotes?
· My Remotes and Server are on the same subnet and I still can't connect
Sometimes the issues can be resolved with a reinstall of your Roon Remote app. Let's try to perform a reinstall and see if it helps.

Describe the issue
I've suddenly been unable to connect to my Roon Rock app for the past two days, but I can still find it in the Roon OS settings, access the Rock page by entering its IP address, and connect normally using Roon ARC. The problem persists even with other phones or reinstalling the app. Is there any way to resolve this?
We’ve reviewed the diagnostic report from your device, and your Roon ROCK appears to be functioning normally.
Since you are able to connect via Roon ARC (outside your home) but cannot connect locally, the issue is likely a local network blockage preventing your devices from “discovering” the ROCK. This is often caused by multicast traffic being blocked or a network conflict.
Recommended Troubleshooting Steps:
Reset Network Settings:
Please access your ROCK’s Web UI and reset the IP assignment to ensure your router is serving as the DHCP Server. If you have set a Static IP, please remove it and switch to DHCP.
Simplify the Network:
If you are using any managed or unmanaged switches, please temporarily bypass them. Connect your ROCK directly to your primary router via Ethernet to rule out switch-level blocking.
Router Settings (IGMP):
Check your router settings and disable IGMP Snooping. In some implementations, this feature can aggressively block the local multicast traffic Roon needs for discovery.
Check for Conflicts:
Please turn off your Windows PC while trying to connect to the ROCK. This ensures that the PC isn’t accidentally running as a Roon Core and creating a conflict.
Manual Connection:
On your remote device, try entering the ROCK’s IP address manually:
192.168.0.101
Network Details:
If the above steps don’t resolve it, could you please clarify your router model and provide a brief description of your network topology?
We see both a Linux and a RoonOS (ROCK) server active on your network. It’s not clear which you use as your primary RoonServer, but the latter is hosted on a virtual machine.
Please take note that we can’t guarantee Roon will function in a virtual environment.
ARC can’t retain session authorization between servers. If you’ve migrated between your Linux server from ROCK, you’ll unfortunately need to deauthorize ARC’s connection to the first server or reinstall the app.
I recommend creating a post in Roon Software Discussion or Tinkering to inquire about the specific virtual environment you’re using from seasoned users.
