Unable to connect to Roon Server after replacing Nucleus with new PC (ref#SVCHCM)

Is Roon Server running?

Sometimes the issues can be resolved with a reinstall of your Roon Remote app. Let's try to perform a reinstall and see if it helps.

Describe the issue

Unable to connect to Roon Server
This problem exist after relacing the Nucleus with a new PC. Roon Server is running on a new Windows 10 PC.
Roon can play music on this PC via the USB output.

Describe your network setup

PC is connected to a tp-link switch using an ethernet cable. The tp-link switch is connected to the Modems also via an ethernet cable.

If this screenshot is from the control app on the same PC on which you want to run the server now, you have to set it up by clicking the Use this PC button, NOT Find my Roon Server.

The control app is on a different PC.

This message appeared momentary on the control app PC after turning on the Roon Server PC.

Thanks for writing in and sharing your report!

To confirm, have you temporarily disabled both your VPN as well as any antivirus software running on either your server machine, or your PC you’re running Roon remote on?

Let’s also refresh your Roon remote database on the PC having issues:

  • Create a Backup of your current database
  • Exit out of Roon
  • Navigate to your Roon Database Location
  • Find the folder that says “Roon”
  • Rename the “Roon” folder to “Roon_old”
  • Reinstall the Roon App from our Downloads Page to generate a new Roon folder
  • Verify if the issue persists on a fresh database before restoring the backup

If your issues still persist, please use the directions found here and send over a set of Roon Server logs to our File Uploader?
